The Kranzberg Studio was envisioned from the beginning as a center for publishing activity at the University.

Through a unique partnership between the Washington University Library, the School of Art, and The School of Arts and Sciences, a new publishing initiative entitled Reflections on the American Century is being published as a series of five books. The first, Three Essays, combines essays by William H. Gass, Gerald Early, and Naomi Lebowitz with art by Michael Byron, Patrick Schuchard, and Denise Ward-Brown, and was published in 2000.

The second in the series, a co-publication of two books by John N. Morris, his Selected Poems and a memoir will be available through University of Missouri Press, Spring 2002.
