The
Kranzberg Studio serves a wide variety of students from the Washington
University community, including students from the Schools of Art, Architecture,
Arts and Sciences, & The Creative Writing program. A class investigating
the illustrated book, its design and production, is offered each semester
and every third semester an Advanced Topics in the Book class
is offered for those students wishing to further their studies. The Studio
also supports vital components of the Visual Communications major in typography
and illustration.

The
Kranzberg Studio is equipped with 6 Vandercook proof presses, a good selection
of metal and wood type and exposure unit for making photopolymer plates.
A printmaking area with two Takach etching presses, and digital media area
to generate and print images complete the studio. |
